How to Make an Acrylic Keychain Custom for Yourself or as a Personalized Gift

If you’re looking to create your own acrylic keychain custom but don’t know where to start, we can help you out! Here are some tips and tricks to make sure your keychain turns out perfect and exactly the way you want it. Start by reading the following steps and learn how to make an acrylic keychain custom in no time at all!

What You'll Need

To make your own acrylic keychain custom, you'll need a few supplies:

-An acrylic circle (available at your local craft store)

-A sharpie marker and piece of paper (or something to draw on the back of the acrylic)

-A keyring, split ring, jump ring, or necklace chain (depending on how you want to attach it).

-Scissors. The Process: 1. Mark your desired design onto the acrylic with a sharpie marker and/or piece of paper. 2. Carefully cut out your design with scissors. 3. Attach any hardware necessary (i.e., keychain loop, split ring, jump ring) by punching holes in each end of the acrylic using either needle nose pliers or a drill press--and be sure to leave space for where the two pieces will connect when being used! 4. Lastly, clean up any rough edges that might have been created during cutting with sandpaper so that there are no jagged surfaces left behind!

Step One: Decide on Your Design

Decide on the design you want. There are many different designs available at Vograce, and they can be personalized with the person's name, initials, and date of birth. You can also choose from several shapes and sizes. Choose what you would like your acrylic keychain custom to look like. Once you have chosen the acrylic keychain custom that is perfect for you, continue on to step two: choosing text.

Step Two: Cut Out Your Design

Since you've already chosen your design, the next step is cutting out the acrylic keychain custom! We recommend using a craft blade, ruler and self-healing mat. Once you have everything in place, cut out your design on the mat. This will make it easier to align the acrylic keychains when they're being glued together. Cut out all of the pieces that make up your design before gluing them together. When we were making our acrylic keychain custom, we used three colors of acrylic paint: pink, purple and blue. First, we painted one side of the pink acrylic rectangle with purple paint. Next, we flipped over that same piece so that it was facing down and painted one side of it with blue paint. Finally, we turned that same piece so that its two sides faced each other (still flipped over) and painted both sides of it with pink paint to create our acrylic keychain custom!

Step Three: Assemble Your Keychain

Once you've obtained all the supplies, it's time to assemble your acrylic keychain custom. First, you'll need to find a paintbrush and some acetone. Paint on the desired design with the acetone on the back of your acrylic sheet and allow it to dry. When your design is dry, place it face down in some sturdy cardboard and punch out the shape you'd like using wire cutters. Cut all four sides off of your cardboard round (or rectangle) in order to reveal only your design when finished.

Use E6000 glue on each tab before assembling into a rectangle - adhering two tabs together at once helps reinforce them! Then, use the hole-punch pliers to drill holes through both layers of acrylic and use hot glue to connect them from inside. Finally, insert your keyring through one hole so that it is threaded through the other hole on top of the same piece. Thread a jump ring onto one end of your new acrylic keychain custom, attach it securely to your keyring, and enjoy!

Step Four: Add Your Hardware

The next step is attaching your hardware. The hardware you attach will depend on the design of your acrylic keychain custom and what you are going to use it for. You can purchase keychains that already have hardware attached, but if you want to add your own, it's simple. First, cut the metal loop so that it is just slightly longer than the keychain hole. Next, put a small dab of glue in the middle of each side of the keyhole and place the metal loop on top. Finally, let it dry overnight before using your new acrylic keychain custom! If you're worried about the material being glued together, try placing one drop of water on top. That should help seal the deal without messing with anything else.

One important thing to keep in mind when designing your acrylic keychain custom is making sure the lettering isn't too large or too small. It should be around 3-4 inches tall for optimal readability when hanging from a backpack strap. If your lettering exceeds these measurements, try doing smaller letters within larger ones; just make sure there are no words crammed into any other words on your acrylic keychain custom so they don't get squished together. Remember: never mix font styles because this might distort how certain letters look and feel when reading them!

Step Five: Enjoy Your New Custom Keychain!

Congratulations on making your own acrylic keychain custom! Now, you can enjoy it! You can use it on its own or with other keys. You can also string your keys together if you have a lot of them. The benefits of having your own custom acrylic keychain are that you know where the keys are at all times and no one else will be able to grab them from you by mistake.

Plus, if you have personal items attached to the keychains, such as photos, they're always close by and easily accessible in case of theft. All right! I hope this blog post helped you learn how to make an acrylic keychain custom for yourself or as a personalized gift. Remember to come back next week when we'll talk about another creative way of using acrylic sheets: putting them in your wedding decor! Thank you so much for reading this post and I hope it helped you make your acrylic keychain custom :)
