There are plenty of clubs in Brisbane where you can party and meet new people. Some are even a goth scene that caters for the darklings out there.

The Beat Megaclub

The Beat Megaclub is Brisbane’s most popular gay club. The multi-level dance club thumps under the credo of “Party 365.” It’s open every night and features live drag acts and DJs. The dance floor is a hotspot for those looking to make new friends.

The club is located in the Brunswick Street Mall in Fortitude Valley. It is adjacent to a food court, Bakery Lane, and a health club, F45 Training. The location offers a great view of the city and is perfect for a romantic dinner date or to dance the night away.

This is a fun, friendly and welcoming club to all types of people. There are several different rooms to choose from, and the music is always good. The drinks are cheap and the bar staff are friendly. The security is a little uptight, but I understand that they want to keep everyone safe.

The buildings that now comprise the Beat Megaclub were built in 1924-25 by businessman Robert Finley, who ran a sheet metal, water and gas fittings company from the premises. The current owners, John and Ross Hannay, bought the property in 1985. The Beat opened in 1988, and was one of the first gay bars in Queensland. During the anti-gay era of Premier Sir Joh Bjelke-Petersen, police would regularly conduct “poofta hunts” of the two major gay clubs in Brisbane, The Beat and the Terminus.

The coffee is surprisingly smooth and sweet, and it will keep you alert while you’re eating.

Australian rock supergroup The Dead Daisies have released their brand new single titled “Lock ‘n’ Load”. Slash’s signature guitar riffs are a perfect complement to singer Jon Stevens’ signature voice. The song is the first to be released from the band’s upcoming album.

Mi Casa
