Country Club Pool to Beat the Summer Heat

Best the heat this summer with a relaxing swimming session

From Memorial Day weekend through mid-September, the Club’s beautiful pool and swim facility is open for swimmers of all ages. Swim lessons for the kids and exercise classes for adults are also available.

As country clubs such as Philmont Country Club consider major capital investments, pools rank alongside modern dining facilities and upgraded fitness centers as a compelling investment for new member acquisition. Inventive pool concepts can drive club membership growth.

Facility and Amenities

As a Country Club Pool member, you’ll enjoy a state of the art swimming complex that rivals any resort in the area. With an array of lounges, umbrellas, a large hot tub and a full service snack bar, the pool complex will make you feel like you’re on vacation!

The main pool features areas for lap swimming, diving and the children’s playground. There is also a “kiddy” pool and a separate baby pool for toddlers, as well as a Pool House complete with locker, changing and shower facilities.

Open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, the pool is a hub of family fun and a focal point for private and group swim lessons and junior swim teach activities. Pool parties are also available throughout the season.

Member Benefits

Many country clubs have swimming pools on their property, but they often charge non-members a daily guest fee (around $10 per person). As a member, you can enjoy unlimited use of the pool and can skip these extra fees. Many club swimming pools also offer professional swim lessons and swim teams for children of all ages.

Other members-only benefits may include reduced rental fees for the on-site event spaces. This allows you to host a wedding, work party or other event without paying the usual outside rental rates. These event services can include catering, on-site staff and even a dedicated events coordinator to help you plan your special day.

Another benefit of country club membership is the ability to connect with other like-minded people who share your interests. This socializing can lead to new friends, golf partners or tennis teammates. Country clubs are also well-known as a place for business networking, and golf is especially popular among corporate executives.

Initiation and other upfront costs are common for country club memberships. These can vary widely, but financing is often available to spread out these upfront costs. Country clubs also typically have ongoing monthly fees that cover operating expenses. These can also vary widely, but are often lower than what you would pay for many of the same benefits as a non-member.

Programming Opportunities

The Aquatics team offers a variety of programs including lifeguard and swim lessons for youth and adults, lap swimming, water-based fitness classes, seasonal youth camps and more. Learn more about the programming opportunities available at Country Club Pool by visiting the Programs Events tab above.

Children ages 11 and under must be within arm’s reach of an adult 18 years or older in the water at all times. This includes when they are in a lifeguard's care, on the deck or in the "adult section."

Speaking on a cell phone is limited to locker rooms, parking lot and the “adult section” at the pool. Texting is permitted.

Please note that pool capacities may vary based on staffing levels and may limit some amenities for safety reasons.
